As a science graduate Vince Nacey is the technical brain behind The Fees Bureau. He manages the paper and on-line surveys, writes programs to retrieve, clean and analyse the data, and develops web questionnaires whilst generally keeping all our computer systems up and running.  But he doesn’t just deal with numbers; the way Mirza & Nacey Research works means he is involved in every stage of each research project - proposals, methodologies, questionnaire design, project design, web maintenance, report writing and editing.

Prior to co-founding Mirza & Nacey Research in 1989, Vince was Information Officer at the Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA), running the institute’s regular surveys. He also developed a number of new initiatives as the Statistics Department transformed itself into the Market Research Unit. For the benchmark report Market Opportunities for Architects, Vince toured the country with a “road show”, first collecting data from architects via focus groups and then disseminating this information to architects at a series of regional seminars.

Vince creates the data sets for all The Fees Bureau's reports. He presents research results and has been a speaker at five General Assemblies of the Architects Council of Europe  and The Federation of Veterinarians of Europe in Brussels. Vince is a regular speaker at the Manchester School of Architecture and spoke at the Welsh School of Architecture.

He has contributed articles to the RIBA Journal and other architectural journals.
